Beauty Prep Tips for Your Summer Holiday

Are you jetting off somewhere warm and sunny for your summer holidays this year? This can be a stressful time trying to remember all the things that you need to do from packing to printing off boarding passes. For many of us, the beauty regime on the lead up to going on holiday can be quite intense, but there is no need to worry as we have listed below for you all the beauty prep tips that you may want to do before you go.

Get Yourself a Pedicure

Before you jet off on your summer holidays, one of the first things that you will probably want to do is book yourself in for a pedicure. After a long, cold winter, our feet tend to be neglected and so this is the perfect time to revive them. When filing your feet, you should always do this dry and before you jump in the shower so you can see exactly where any problem areas are. Once you have smoothed out your skin, you will then need to try and lock in as much moisture as you can. The skin on your feet is a twelve times thicker than the rest of your body and so you will need a great foot lotion that can be absorbed into the skin quickly. Give your toenails a quick paint and you are good to go!

Get a Manicure

After your pedicure, it is time to get a manicure. You will want to opt for a professional service and we would recommend doing this a few days before you leave. CND Shellac by Jealous is a great option as this type of nail polish is not going to start chipping away the moment you arrive in your destination and will last you the duration of your vacation, giving you one less thing to worry about!

Get Lash Extensions

This won’t be for everyone, but lash extensions are hugely popular and can look fantastic on your holiday. You don’t have to worry about them and they are perfect for those no make up days by the pool or minimal make up on those warm nights. While you are getting your lash extensions, you can also have your brows tinted too which will provide you with the ultimate easy make up routine on holiday.

Up Your Water Intake

Around one week before you go on holiday, a great tip is to massively increase your water intake. This will ensure that your body is hydrated, your skin is glowing and that you are not holding on to lots of excess water weight. Make sure you stay hydrated on your flight too as this will reduce bloating.

Self Tan

While you may heading off abroad to try and get yourself a real tan, self tanning before you go is very popular. This will give you the confidence boost that you need for your first few days next to the pool.
